Fueling for Fitness

A snack before working out? Or maybe after? But should it have carbs? You need protein, right? But how much and when? All of the nutrition information available for sports and exercise can be daunting, we made it our task to simplify it for you, so you can learn to fuel for your peak sports performance.

Your nutrition intake should work with you to help you reach your fitness goals, not against you. Your ratio of carbohydrates, protein, and lipids will vary based on the intensity and duration of your training, as well as your unique body composition. And don't forget to stay hydrated!

Fueling for peak physical performance can be quick and simple, just like this recipe for protein balls. They're a great snack to fuel before a workout, experiment by adding in your favorite ingredients like different nut butters, nuts, dried fruit, coconut or chocolate chips.
